I recently got one of the Roland microrecorders. Forget the name. It's about the size of a small walkman. Works real nice for guitar, it has many effects and a multitrack recorder that goes to san cards. You could very easily take one of those and mount it on the SK, either inside it if you want to do a cutup job or just on the front. Runs on battery power or AC.

Unfortunately, probably not - I'd need to add a midi interface, and install a small midi sequencer - which is actually semi-feasable, but only semi-feasable, and it would add a lot of complexity, specifically on the midi-sequencer end. Interesting thoughts though - and if I were a real electrical engineer, I could probably make a seuqnecer-PIC for the thing. HMmmmm....

The wikipedia entry would seem to indicate that these keyboards can be modded. Would it be worth the time and trouble to add some of the capabilities you're looking for?
